The West Yorkshire LEarning & Skills Council has assisted in the development of The LocalBiz Project
The information here is aimed at LSCs, EBPs / EBLOs, etc .
The LocalBiz Project has been supported in its development by West Yorkshire LSC, and we have been working with a number opf EBPs, so that it really does help schools to make "Enterprise their second language".

You can fund The LocalBiz Project using eLearning CreditsWe are here to help you promote Enterprise within your schools. The LocalBiz Project is a unique and practical learning programme. A school which is participating in the Project has an opportunity to provide a direct and immediate benefit back to their local community, and the businesses within it. The Project is more fully described in the Information section.

The LocalBiz Award for Teeamwork can earn the equivalent of 75% of a GCSE.The Teamwork Programme is just one way of running the Project, and can lead to the "Working With Others" key skill. Similarly, The ICT Programme focuses on the ICT key skill. The Project can also be customised, for example to generate a more problem-solving biased programme, or one which focusses on Improving Own Learning & Performance. You will recognise these as some of the key Skills, worth the equivalent of ¾ GCSE. The Project also fits nicely into the ASDAN CoPE framework - worth the equivalent of a whole GCSE.
