All students who participate in the Project can, at the discretion of the teacher, be awarded a LocalBiz certificate. The Project can be used to support teaching activities across the key skils range, as well as within National curriculum subjects such as English and Maths.
The Teamwork Programme is recognised as a vehicle which can generate the evidence required for QCA’s ‘Working with Others’. The WWO Award is available from most examination bodies, and is worth the equivalent of ¾ GCSE. Expected to be available in September 2006 is The ICT Programme, based on the ICT key skill.
"ASDAN considers that the Teamwork programme can provide a suitable route to achieving Working with Others both at Level 1 and at Level 2. The LocalBiz Project can also be used to create evidence for the other key skills, and for the CoPE award."
It can run alongside existing GCSE/First Diploma type courses to provide suitable case study evidence – and at the same time earn a vocational qualification.
