The Short Enterprise Programme takes between 8 to 12 hours to complete. It can be run in as a focused programme in as little as 3 days, or over a complete term, at one hour per week. Examples include running it:
The teaching materials to help you do this include a Teacher's Guide and a Student Workbook, plus the fully functional and easy to use website. Teachers and students only need to be able to browse the Internet and fill in forms on-line. Whilst it does not deliver the extensive learning outcomes of our other programmes, its advantage is that it is useful to help teachers to understand the Project’s potential in full. The students will also get some valuable experience in preparing for the world of work. This programme is also suitable in specific learning situations, where it would be advantageous to allow more time for each activity. The Teacher's Guide is sent to you immediately in an email when you register for a free trial, so you can see immediately some of the benefits which can accrue from running The LocalBiz Project. On completion of the Short Enterprise Programme, you - and your students - will have a live local community website, ready to be expanded in future years, by running (for example) the ICT or Teamwork Programmes. All programmes are further adaptable to your students specific learning requirements. |
